Here are just some of the NORWEX ALTERNATIVES to these hazardous chemicals. Hazardous; meaning we have basically turned our homes into a mini chemical factory-Just as bad, if not worse than second hand smoke atmosphere. There is more than ten hazardous chemicals listed, I am assuming that is because some of them tied in the top ten. I got these off the web site of consumer law pages, I will be updating and adding as I find out more so look over this quite often. A lot of Norwex products can be used in so many different ways. AIR FRESHENERS-Most air fresheners interfere with your ability to smell by coating your nasal passages with an oil film, or by releasing a nerve deadening agent. Known toxic chemicals found in an air freshener: Formaldehyde: Highly toxic, known carcinogen. Phenol: when phenol touches your skin it can cause it to swell, burn, peel, and break out in hives. Can cause cold sweats, convulsions, circulatory collapse, coma and even death.

ALTERNATIVES

AMMONIA- It is a very volatile chemical. It is very damaging to your eyes, respiratory tract and skin.

BLEACH- It is a strong corrosive. It will irritate or burn the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. It may cause pulmonary edema or vomiting and coma if ingested.
"Warning if ammonia and bleach is mixed together it may cause fumes which can be deadly."

ALTERNATIVES

NORWEX DESCALER- great for shower doors, removes lime and rust in tubs and sinks, and with regular use prevents new lime build up.
Will stain some chromes so I would not use it on chrome, like your facets.

NORWEX CLEANING PASTE- Environmentally friendly, cleaning and polishing agent. Cleans, polishes and protects in one application. This is also great for all chrome including chrome on cars and motorcycles.

NORWEX ULTRA POWER PLUS LAUNDRY DETERGENT- This detergent is not only used for washing your clothes it is and all purpose cleaner. Just mix a very small amount in a spray bottle and it will clean some real grimy area’s.

CARPET AND UPHOLSTERY SHAMPOO- Most formulas are designed to overpower the stain itself. They may accomplish the task, but not without using highly toxic substances. Some include: Perchlorethylene: A known carcinogen that damages the liver, kidneys, and central Nervous System. Ammonium Hydroxide: A corrosive, extremely irritable to eyes, skin and respiratory passages.

NORWEX ENVIRO CLOTHS- these cloths has the ability to clean many things with just water.  It also can be used on carpets with just water to pull up stains.

NORWEX DISHWASHING LIQUID- I have used this detergent in my carpet cleaner. My machine said I would void the warrantee if used with a different formula than what the machine calls for, but I risked it. My machine is still working just fine. So it is up to you and only you to take that risk. The Ivory carpet I used it on looks like a new carpet. I would've taken pictures if I only of known what this Detergent was capable of cleaning. My client did not even expect to get all those stains up. Like I have said, Norwex keeps me in Awe…What would of cost me close to over $100 in cleaners, only cost me about one dollar in products. NORWEX ODOR ELIMINATOR-Mixed with the detergent and water it also gave the carpet a fresh clean smell- important only use very small amounts of each and rinse with water when done. Some of the stubborn stains I pretreated with a mixture a couple days before shampooing.

DRAIN CLEANERS- Most drain cleaners contain lye, hydrochloric acid or trichloroethane. Lye is a Caustic which burns the skin and eyes, if ingested will damage esophagus and stomach. Hydrochloric acid: A corrosive and causes eye and skin irritant, damages Kidneys, liver and digestive tract. Trichloroethane: an eye and skin irritant, nervous system depressant, it will damage liver and kidneys.

ALTERNATIVES
